Nature
Grace tripped over a stump
in the city street
while three kids laughed
along a river in silent weeping
Grace tripped over a stump
in the city street
while three kids laughed
along a river in silent weeping
my scars inward
outward manifest
my scars outside
inwardly digress
my mind wanders as i replay
where your faithfulness has replayed
i’m not ignorant to your graces
but i do resign to my past dark faces
“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You. Because He trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3
"Sole defense
Assurance from where
Eternity rests
no soul regrets
feeble gifts
into absolute arms infinite
untouchable in efforts reaching
The way to the heart
Cannot be bought
But wooed by grace
Human misery befits the luxurious
We do not know rest
Apart from false abundance
Self worth cannot simply be understood
Within
It must be affirmed and sealed with blood
Empathy incarnated
Opens the door to brotherly unity
and invites sacrificial understanding
Perfect law
Perfect life
Why to be given
New rights?
To obtain is to lose
And to loosen is to gain
For in hatred
We cannot become
What love has foretold.
